Dear Patients,
All of us at Colvard Kandavel Center would like to wish you a happy and safe Holiday Season. In so many ways, it has been a wonderful year, and there is much for which we are grateful. High on the list is the sense of joy and purpose that you, our patients, bring to us throughout the year. Another source of happiness is the opportunity to bring light to the lives of underserved patients both locally and internationally. This year as the international Covid crisis decreased in severity, we were excited to return to our surgical missions in Central America and in Africa. In both locations, these missions were highly successful. The number of patients we were able to help was at record levels, and despite a lot of crowding and close quarters, to our knowledge, none of the patients, staff, or doctors contracted Covid during these surgical eye camps. We have also had the pleasure of continuing our support of the Mwadinohmo School in Oshakati, Namibia.
We wanted to share with you our most recent Friends of Vision Newsletter, which describes in greater detail much of our work in Central America and Africa.
Happy Holidays to You and all Your Family with Warm Wishes,
Rom Kandavel, MD
