Dear Patients,
We hope this newsletter finds you in good health and high spirits. As we approach the end of the year, we want to share some important updates regarding your Medicare coverage. We understand that staying informed about your Medicare benefits is crucial, so here are some key points you need to know for the upcoming enrollment period.
1. New Medicare Deductible for 2024
Starting January 1, 2024, the Medicare Part B deductible will be $240.00. This is the amount you will be responsible for paying before your Medicare coverage begins. It’s essential to be aware of this change, so you can plan your healthcare expenses accordingly.
2. Medicare Enrollment Period – October 15th to December 7th, 2023
The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) is quickly approaching. From October 15 to December 7, 2023, you have the opportunity to make changes to your Medicare coverage. Whether you are looking to switch plans, add prescription drug coverage, or explore other options, this is the time to do it. Our team is here to assist you in navigating this process and ensuring that your healthcare needs are met.
3. Our Practice Accepts Medicare PPO, Not HMO
We want to remind all our Medicare patients that our practice accepts Medicare PPO plans, but we do not participate in Medicare HMO plans. This means that you have the freedom to choose your healthcare providers and specialists without the need for referrals. We value the flexibility and options that Medicare PPO plans offer, as they allow us to provide you with the highest quality of care.
If you are considering a Medicare “Advantage Plan” please be aware some are a closed network like an HMO and many of your physicians including our practice likely will not participate in the plan.
Our team is dedicated to offering you the best possible healthcare experience, and we are committed to making your Medicare benefits work for you.
If you have any questions or need assistance with your Medicare coverage during the upcoming enrollment period, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our knowledgeable staff.
In order to confirm we are in network, we also suggest you reach out directly to your insurance broker and give them our Tax ID Number # 26-4049662 along with the provider’s National Provider Identifier (NPI).
